(More customer reviews)I had a miscarriage a month ago, but my hormone level was down to a "negative" 2 weeks prior to me testing for pregnancy. I had suspected I could be pregnant, but since I didn't have a missed period to go by, I tested for pregnancy with a First Response Digital Gold test 2 weeks after I thought I had ovulated. The test came back positive, but despite having had a negative hcg level I was still hesitant to believe I was pregnant. I called my doctor who had me come in for a blood hcg test right away. The blood test came back a negative 1, and yet somehow the First Response test gave me a positive the same day (newly purchased... not expired, and I followed the directions just as written). I won't be purchasing this type of test ever again, and I highly suggest if you want an accurate result, you consider a different test as well.

We purchased the pinkorblue gender test for a cool $214. Test results came back as boy. I gave birth to a girl. Not only were the test results wrong, but the process of getting my money refunded (money back guarantee if wrong)was an absolute nightmare.
I followed their refund directions exactly. After six email inquiries and at least ten phone calls, I have finally received my check. During the course of the 3 months that I tried to get the refund, they promised the check multiple times. There were many excuses as to why the refund hadn't gone through-- mailing address difficulties, "mis-filing," on and on. At first, I thought they were disorganized. Now, I wonder if it is a scam. I mean, how many mothers of newborns will go through the hassle of repeatedly following up and fighting for their refund?
Lastly, when I received my refund check in the mail, it was for $149. They explained that the shipping on the kit was non-refundable (which I remembered from the instructions to be true). But when I looked back at my receipt, it said that $199 was for the lab service and that $25 was for the kit. Where was the missing $50? Well, apparently they claimed there was an error on the receipt and it printed the incorrect amounts for the service. I would be getting back only $149 (even though my receipt said $199) and $65 for shipping was non-refundable. Wow.
I would seriously recommend that anyone interested in this test steer clear of this company. Either their level of disorganization is unprofessional or this is nothing more than a scam.

However, I can't remember how soon the test reads positive (I think it's about 3 days before the period is due).
The little cyphen that comes with each test can be placed close to your body while peeing, and it will collect the urine just fine with no splatter. No need for cups at all.

(More customer reviews)These are a great test for a great price. I like them much better than the kinds you can pick up at the drug store for $7 or $8 apiece. I used one of these the same day I had some blood drawn and a very faint line showed up. The next day I found out that the blood test showed that my HCG levels were at an 8 (Which I was told is consistent with about three weeks pregnant.) I was really impressed that they are able to detect such small amounts. If you want to be able to test often and not have to worry about the cost, these tests are the way to go!
