(More customer reviews)this was recommended by a fellow dog owner whose dog has the "itchies." Benadryl is an old standby, but it has side effects...and I am really not inclined to use it on my dogs if I don't have to. The dog that I give it to has a condition called EPI and must be on a low-fat diet. For dogs low fat often results in poor coat, dry skin and of course, lots of scratching.
As to the product, it's one of those things that either works or it doesn't. It does. Sara, a GSD, weighs about 110 punds (50 kg). I gave her four crushed tablets with each of two meals a day and after the scratching subsided (about a week-and-a-half) I slowly reduced the number to two, twice a day.
As a test, I stopped for four days and she started scratching again. Started up and again, no scratching. This either works for your dog or it doesn't, but it's worth a try.
