(More customer reviews)200 to 300 mg of B6 was recommended by a friend to release fluid that was accumulating in my legs and causing a little discomfort. The Solgar brand was recommended by another friend as a brand he trusts. Both friends are vitamin/herb knowledgeable. For me, 1 capsule/250 mg of these tiny capsules per day seems to do the trick.
They come in a glass jar, which I certainly prefer over plastic. The bottle says they are vegetable capsules (which a friend says are absorbed better), are sugar, salt, and starch free, and are suitable for vegetarians. The bottle also says they are good for energy support and are free of corn, yeast, wheat, soy, and dairy products (important to those with allergies) and are formulated without the use of preservatives.
I take 1 capsule right after breakfast, and, as I said, it works. Been taking it for about 2 months now.
Note (Feb 2010) I just read somewhere else to limit yourself to 100 mg of B6 per day. Note that I am not a doctor. Before using various vitamins, you really should do some research, whatever the product. Of course, you should also contact your health care professional. Anyway, I have found it certainly helpful in reducing fluid.
