I've been using these test strips for the past couple of months and so far I'm very satisfied with them.
The primary reason I began using this brand was that they're so inexpensive when compared to other brands. Also, I wanted to check my blood glucose levels to see how foods were affecting it. Since April 2010 when I first began monitoring, I managed to lower my triglycerides from 385 to only 75, without medication. Before I switched to Advocate test strips I was using "Side Kick" another somewhat low cost brand. The problem I experienced with that brand was several malfunctioning strips per kit, consistently. The price per strip averaged 40 cents, now; the price per strip for the Advocate brand is only 24 cents. So far, I have yet to have a single strip malfunction.
The Advocate test strips I've bought have and expiration date of at least one year or longer.
Incidentally, I'm not a diabetic but needed to reduce my high levels of triglycerides hence the need to monitor my blood glucose. It probably goes without saying that my health insurance wouldn't pay for my endeavor, therefore, I needed to take control of my own health and buy the monitor and test strips on my own. I'm glad I did and no longer need to take cholesterol medication with my doctor's approval.
I'm also very pleased with Bargain OTC `s service and shipping was fast which was included in the price!
If there's one thing to be aware of, I found that the test strips are inserted into their container in the wrong direction. The correct direction should be with the contact end of the strip in the container first, IMO.
When I start a new container of test strips I carefully dump them out on a paper towel and carefully return them back to the container with the contact end first, that way when I need to take a new test strip I never touch the contact end with my fingers which might result in an error because of that.
Update: 12-20-2010, Since I'm thoroughly satisfied with these test trips I'm entering another order today.

I have used this brand for a couple of years and have purchased them both from the pharmacy (covered by Medicare, now) and from Amazon (from a different merchant). My first purchase from Amazon was entirely satisfactory and I am giving the test strips a three star rating because of a problem with the last strips I ordered. They must have been miscoded or damaged by the summer heat while in transit; they consistently gave readings (on the same meter at the same time) 10 to 20 or more points higher than the strips from the local pharmacy-and yes, I correctly coded the meter when I changed strips. Since I have type 2 diabetes, I went ahead and used them, with the understanding that the readings were high. This could cause a serious problem with someone with insulin, however. I hesitated to give these a lowered rating, but feel that this is an issue that purchasers should be aware of.
