As a nursing student with a concentration in cardiology, I see a lot of sphygs, quality ranging from "this is a prop for a kid's Hallowe'en costume, right?" to "I wish the blood bank would get these!"
The 720 is the nicest quality BP cuff I've had a chance to use for under $100.
While the electronic, automagic, does-everything-including-an-oil-change-for-your-car models are probably more accurate, I'd prefer to not have to count on battery life or have to fuss with a bulky hard case. I roll up my 720, stuff it in its case, shove it into my gear bag and I'm off.
Besides, EVERY medical professional should know how to take a patient's BP manually.
I fully recommend an electronic one when fast, accurate BP and HR readings are necessary, but there's nothing like hearing it...
