I love the large numbers, the time tested accuracy, and mostly the downloadable software and USB port to track your data on your computer!! The dissapointment is upon arrival it came with NO test strips!!! And to make matters even worse you can't buy the test strips at ANY retail stores. I called and customer support is sending 10 free strips but in the meantime my device will sit on my desk. If I was diabetic and I needed more test strips in a hurry this would be a HUGE problem. Buyer beware.

I began using the cuff in February - one day a week on no more than 2 patients in a brief time frame. During the last 2 weeks of my 4 months of clinicals I noticed the needle was not calibrated to 0 mmHg. The result is inaccurate blood pressure readings. I was not able to reset the cuff's needle and ultimately used another cuff. I am planning to purchase a new cuff for clinicals beginning in September. I was very satisfied with this cuff... for the brief time it worked properly.

(More customer reviews)I bought the Panasonic Blood Pressure Monitor, and took it to my doctor to see how it compared to his measurement. He showed me that I wasn't quite using it correctly, and said that I needed a bigger cuff -- so I ordered this item, the large cuff.
It works fine, as expected. The only problem is that the instruction says the bottom of the cuff should be about an inch above the elbow -- but the cuff is so long that I can barely get it above my elbow at all.
In any case, it still gives accurate readings, so I really can't complain.

I am not sure if they sent the one we sent back to us, because it did the exact same thing. It worked the first time, then the next day it would only flash on the turn itself off immediately. Next time I purchase something electronic like this I am going to a regular store where I can just go in and return it.
I am adding this a month later, we have waited over a month for our refund since sending the second one back. Don't buy online from this company.

This is listed by British Hypertension Society and the Dabl Educational Trust, the 2 organizations that keep track of independent tests of these kind of devices. I distrust customer reviews that claim accuracy/inaccuracy based on comparison with their doctor's results. Such comparisons are actually quite difficult to do scientifically and who knows if the doctor's results are accurate. The cuff is OK for my medium+ arm size. It does not come with 2 cuffs. The tube attaches firmly to the machine and the cuff has printed instructions. The monitor is easy to read. Nothing fancy, just diastolic, systolic and pulse. My wife has a much smaller arm and uses it easily. It is made in China (Microlife is a Swiss company) just as my old A&D was, and seems very well made. A bargain at this price.

She claims the stethoscope was more comfortable than the ones in the class that they pass around to everyone to train on, and that the sound was very clear. She was extremely happy with this choice (she's 19) and this was surprising in itself. I guess I made a good choice for someone who didn't know any better. This was also a very affordable kit.

(More customer reviews)The British Hypertension Society gave this monitor their highest possible rating for accuracy (A/A). That was the selling point for me along with the fact that it includes a USB connection and software.
The software that is included is very informative and is designed to also be used by medical professionals. (It can store patient data for an unlimited number of patients.) Graphs, tables, and averages for systolic BP, diastolic BP, and heart rate are provided for any given date range and can be further divided to only show morning or evening readings. I also liked the fact that the software can set the time and date on the blood pressure monitor.
The blood pressure cuff is comfortable and easy to place on my own arm. I have had this device for 2 weeks now and continue to enjoy using this device several times a day.
In a nutshell, I could not be happier with this BP monitor. Though it costs more than other automatic BP monitors, it is a much better value because of all the advanced features.

Am nut on BP monitors and have gone through many over past few years. Went to A&D brand based on experience with several models that were always close to what got the traditional way at doc's office.
Wanted wrist model to use at gym, but gave up when readings varied from close to same, to 20
percent higher than my current A&D upper arm model, with no apparent reason for the variation. Pulse rate was always close to upper arm model reading, however.
Placement of cuff relative to wrist was touchy, to say the least, and had a major effect on reading got,but again, I could not see a consistency of reading versus cuff placement.
I recommend the upper arm models. I have had several A&D models and all worked fine and were close to my doctor's mercury tube model's readings. I choose based upon features I want.
