(More customer reviews)I'm happy with this product because it's accurate (compared to Dr.'s office) and easy to use. I think it's superior to many other blood pressure cuffs in that it's batteries last very long compared to those with an automatic pump. I've owned the type with the automatic pump in the past and the readings tend to lose their accuracy as battery power wanes (which is on the order of 10-50 times faster for the automatic pumps).
The instruction booklet was helpful in interpreting the results and taking single readings with an ounce of skepticism, since readings can be temporarily off due to stress or other factors. One thing that I didn't find in the instruction booklet but should have been in there is that one should make it a point not to stare at the blood pressure monitor while it is in its countdown and instead think about something else, other than blood pressure, entirely. This simple exercise (which is realistic unless you are usually thinking about blood pressure throughout the day) tends to lower the diastolic number by as much as 10-15 points if you are normally inclined to get stressed about the readings even while taking them.
