(More customer reviews)I am a three time per week dialysis patient that uses a size 14 guage needle (large). When I staarted on Coumadin, I noticed that the time it took to stop bleedinjg at the end of a treatment had increase significantly. Then I found Blood Stop.
I cut the pads down to a small enough size to cover the puncture site and tape them around the edges to a 1"x1" folded gauze pad. Place the pad (with the Blood Stop facing down) over the needle as it is being removed and apply
pressure. My bleeding stops in less than five minutes. Wow!
I cut the two 2"x2" pads into 4 applications and cut the eight 1"x1" pads in half. This gives me enough pads for 24 applications or 12 dialysis treatments (4 weeks worth).
