(More customer reviews)Scientists presented a study at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in Las Vegas last December which indicated that Niacin Bound Chromium was effective in lowering blood sugar and blood pressure in rats with a predisposition for "Metabolic Syndrome". Apparently, the niacin bound absorbs more rapidly into the blood than other types of Chromium supplements.
Another kicker... the treated rats lived 19% longer than the controls. No negative effects were noted from the treatment.
Granted... tests on rats are a bit premature, but it seems that NBC is a lot safer than some of the diabetic drugs out there. I am giving it a shot (along with some serious cardio exercise) and the results have been pretty darn good. While I cannot say definitively that it is the NBC, the correlation seems to be there.
