(More customer reviews)This one is smooth, easy to use and almost completely painless. It does allow you to adjust the depth to meet your own needs. The disposable system is simple and works just fine if directions are followed. You could use this system for any meter. I personally use the Bayer Contour and the Bayer strips, but that is my choice...as I said, it will work with any unit. I test frequently and have been using this one for several months now. So far I have had no problems what so ever.

Do be sure you check with your pharmacy company or insurance company to see if the lancets are covered. I understand that some insurance companies will not cover these as of yet.
Nice little sticking machine...no pain, easy to use and appears quite sturdy. What more could you want?

Inside the box (which I didnt notice until it was too late) was a note asking that I do not give the store a bad rating, instead contact the merchant before giving a review.....lol. Its a scam and wa a big waste of my time and taking a day off to make sure that my son receives his updated meter for his severe diabetes. I was disappointed and as a result I had to take my son to the emergency room because his old meter was reading incorrect

WaveSense Lancets, 33 Gauge, 100 Count Box Review

(More customer reviews)The AgaMatrix Wavesense glucose meter is the most accurate glucose meter on the market (almost twice as accurate as most other meter) and works great. These Lancets are made to be used with the meter. They are 33 Gauge and hence thinner than most other Lancets, so they should be less painful to use. The problem is that the Lancing device that comes with the Wavesense glucose meter is poorly made and cannot reproducibly lance your finger to the same depth: moreover the depth setting doesn't work most of the time. This means you end up having to lance much more deeply than necessary to avoid having to lance repeatedly when the lancing depth is too shallow.
I switched to the Accucheck Multiclix lancing device : it is more expensive but as advertised less painful even though it uses a 30Gauge needle, since its lancing depth is predictable and it uses a cam mechanism to not just lance but also withdraw the needle smoothly. It works great with my Wavesense meter and even fits in the wavesense case.

I test more than the insurance will cover & bought some of these; the expiration date was the same as the boxes I got from my pharmacy 2 days later, same box, date, why pay more?
Yes I am new to diabetes and was floored at the cost of the strips, at this price I would change meters for the good strip prices on strips, with a few boxes I buy and what insurance pays for I will not need anymore strips until mine expire next May.

(More customer reviews)The testing strips seemed like a good value, so I ordered 3 boxes of 50. When I received them I noticed the expiration date was only 3 months away. Since I test twice a day, I will be able to use them before the expiration date; but if someone was only checking once a day, one whole box of strips would have been outdated before they could be used. I think if the dates are going to be that close that the company should make sure that if someone orders multiple boxes that they have expirations that are further out.

Made to be used with the Ascensia CONTOUR Monitoring System, these lancets are almost painless on my finger tips and always draws just enough blood for a proper sample.
I have tried several other brands and "generic" lancets, all with mostly disapointing and sometimes painful results.
Highly recommended!

I have a hookup to my computer and enter my own exercise and diet information... the program then gives results for glucose trends that I can take to my doctor. Very handy!!

The expiration date was listed on the packing slip AFTER they arrived, although they did say you could return them if you didn't open the package. I'd run out of strips and didn't have a choice. Just be careful. Deep Discount Centers phone number is (832) 368-5877 if you want to call before ordering. NOTE: when they found out what had happened, they sent me an additional 50 test strips FREE with an expiration date of 10/2010, a more than generous action. I agree, they're good guys and I'll order with them again.
