Draw blood and put it into the container with the test solution, II:Tap it onto the test disk. Neither is difficult or complicated. As far as the varied results that the previous reviewer got I wonder how long he/she has been a diabetic. The glucose meters that we use several times a day are rated to be off as much as 25%, this test kit has a lower error rate and the numbers he suppiled demonstrate that to be true.

It looks very stylish, and is small and discreet. Nice size screen, with very readable results (and a backlight). It also requires a tiny drop of blood, and these strips give you visible feedback that the blood is being taken up.
The strips are incredibly inexpensive - kudos to AgaMatrix for this. Probably one of the best strip bargains around.
For their first meter, AgaMatrix has done a lot right. I can't wait to see their future offerings.

However the boxes are labeled "Not for Retail Sale". The boxes are printed in just blue - no color. The price break was significant, even from what Wal-Mart charges. We have had problems with about 25% of the strips being defective.
I wonder if the strips are conterfeit or outdated merchandise. Why are they labeled "Not for Retail Sale"?

I have the One Touch Ultra meter. The strips slide into the meter so easily every time. The stripe size is approximately 1/4 inch wide and 1 1/4 inch long. They appear to be made out of plastic, so you do have to use one whole test strip for each test. I say that because you cannot cut them in half, nor can you reuse them again. One end has a white and black striped end which you slide into the meter. The other end has an approximate 1/8th by 1/4 inch clear plastic area. This is where you would see the blood being tested.
When I have tested, the lancet just barely has to prick my finger. I find it amazing that just the smallest drop of blood is needed to get a reading. Once the small drop of blood is showing, all I have to do is touch the top of the test strip to the droplet and immediately the blood is drawn along into the plastic clear area. Drawing the blood takes only a second and the One Touch Ultra gives me the results in 5 seconds.
