The monitor provides great visuals and is highly useful in specific medical situations where someone may have an irregular heartbeat, which can affect accurate BP readings. This unit detects irregular beats and compensates for it in BP recording. It also comes with both a regular cuff and a large cuff to increase accuracy of readings in individuals of larger proportion. This manufacturer was chosen because of its close geographic proximity to our home location, with repair options in mind. The monitor worked well for about a week. Unfortunately, and suddenly, it consistently malfunctioned with error messages that could not be corrected by any means. After a call to the manufacturer, we were forced to return the item to Amazon per instructions from the manufacturer because we had it less than 30 days. We have not reordered this or any similar item to the date of this review. We are disappointed, but not thoroughly discouraged. Other products from this manufacturer have served us well.
