(More customer reviews)I have had hypertension for most of my adult life. I have taken prescription drugs for the problem for most of that time as well. About two years ago my doctor helped convince me to start taking better care of myself and to lose weight and exercise more. Oh, he has been telling me that for years, but his heart was truly never in it in my opinion. His strongest point in convincing me came when he finally insisted on seeing me every 6 months for a blood pressure "check", in order for me to continue getting the same med's that I had been taking successfully for over 25 years. Not really wanting to be part of his vast entourage on such a schedule that keeps him enjoying a life of lobster and cracked crab, I decided to start exercising more, eating better, and trying some new supplements that studies have shown to be of benefit for high blood pressure.
I came across quite a few articles about research into Lycomato as an antitoxin, as well as a benefit for high blood pressure. Lycomato, a complex containing the root benefit Lycopene, the major carotenoid found in the tomato, and that which gives the tomato its typical red color, is an important antioxidant with a unique ability to inactivate or "quench" free radicals that can damage our cells. The research and studies on its many advantages are easy to find on the web and most impressive indeed. However I decided to try it strickily for the benefit it offers as a possible blood pressure reducer. Although I have been exercising now for some time, and still taking my regular med's, I feel I can gauge pretty well the benefit of the Lycomato singularly for it is my latest and only addition to my regiment. I bought this very same brand on another online site that was a little cheaper than Amazon (by a couple of bucks only), and are on my third month with it. As far as my calculations are concerned, this Lycomato is definitely having a positive effect on my BP. I decided to take a reading about 3 times a week at different times of the day for a more accurate measurement after starting it. And then compared it to the average I was getting before. As far as I can figure, the Lycomato has lowered my diastolic number, (the lower one) by an average of 5 to 7 points. (I don't pay much attention to the high one, it fluctuates a lot, and is not as important). Not at all bad for a regiment only 3 months old. This average of a 6 point drop has has been very consistent. And since the price of this supplement is very reasonable, I will be continuing to take it. Trust me when I tell you that I have tried lot of other supplements that didn't seem to have any effect at all, never mind a 6 point average. This Lycomato is as safe to take as eating tomatoes, and I have noticed no side affects with it whatsoever. I am going to continue a regimen with it. And if you suffer from hypertension and either wish to supplement your prescription drugs, or handle it entirely naturally, I highly recommend Lycomato. You may not have the same success as I did with it, but you have nothing to lose in my opinion. You may even fair better. If you buy it on Amazon, buy two bottles at a time and make the shipping free. I give it a high recommendation...

Other than the batteries' demise, this unit has been quite usefull. The clip is stronger than my previous model; and testing with a 1 mile tracks shows the unit is off about 2.5%, which is not bad.
While a little sparse on features, it gives you what you basically need; # of steps; distance; # of calories expended. If you are looking for basic, good value, this could be your winner.

It is able to retain information for at least a couple of weeks without downloading. It is able to take water, mud, heat, and a whole lot of knocking around. It is more accurate than any pedometer I have tried; and I've tried more than a half dozen. One problem is getting the program to load-up on the first try.
The product instructions instruct us to replace the whole unit when the battery goes dead. This includes the necessity of buying a brand new adaptor every time one buys a new activity meter. That's wasteful but I would feel better if we didn't have to buy a new adaptor every time as well. Overall, I strongly endorse the product.

If you're looking for something that is very cost effective but maybe not the best quality (it's light and almost flimsy) this is the pedometer for you. It works and hasn't broken, it's just not something I would buy as a gift for someone I cared or, instead they were bought for a group of people who started walking on their lunch break and the business was supplying all of the pedometers.

I've had no problems with the size of the cuff as others have experienced.I have had a problem with ambient temperature reading about 4-5º higher than my indoor thermometer reads. Also, after having my blood pressure checked in my doctor's office, I used the Mabis and got a reading of 76 distolic compared with the 62 the nurse got. I have, on occasion, had the cuff inflate a second time without my prompting it to do so resulting in a atypical reading. I will be sending the unit back to the manufacturer to fix these problems.

(More customer reviews)I bought this when I injured my arm and could not take blood pressures at my business. I like that it comes with two cuff sizes, and it's fairly easy to change them on the machine. I like the readout, it's large and easy to see. I also like the case it comes with.
The few things that I don't like as much are: I think that automatic blood pressure cuffs always read a bit high. On some of my clients it read much higher than their normal. But I think that about all of them, not just this particular brand.
I wish the case was large enough to hold both cuffs and the cord/plug. I made the mistake of not taking out the batteries after I used it, and the batteries went dead over the weekend. So if you need the batteries to work, keep that in mind!! I now use the cord/plug when I use it, and it's long enough that it reaches with ease.
Overall, I think this is a great product, and would recommend it to anyone who needs an automatic B/P cuff.

(More customer reviews)I think this is an excellent pedometer -- it does the job well and accurately. It counts your steps whether it is clipped on, in your pocket or in a purse. The auto-reset to zero at midnight helps keep you honest. Like the software - a couple of clicks and your data is automatically uploaded. It shows your results on a daily, weekly, monthly,and annual basis. Omron is the only company I have seen that provides you with software.
I think the manual that comes with the device could be slightly improved but here are some tips that may help you with setting it up and using it for the first time:
(1) With the back cover off, make note of the serial number. It is engraved into the case in tiny letters near the bottom. It is a six character mix of letters and numbers. You'll need this for registration later.
(2) Before starting to configure your pedometer, you will need to calculate the length of your stride. Pick a starting point and walk 10 regular steps. Measure the distance in inches and divide by 10. Make a note of the result to use later.

(3) In the software, I suggest setting modest "daily goals" to start. Adjust your goals up or down anytime through the software's Options menu as you get use to the pedometer.
(4) The "Set" button on the front is smaller than the others and is intended to be used occasionally to reset the time, your weight, etc. as needed - it does not reset or delete your step data. As a good practice, upload your pedometer data regularly as a backup. In the unlikely event that the "Set" button is accidently pressed , just press "Set" another 4 or 5 times and you'll come back to your normal "step" screen.
(5) Step count - this pedometer shows total steps (both aerobic and regular steps)in the "step" count screen. To see only the aerobic steps accomplished for the day, go to the next screen. It keeps a separate count for aerobic steps (60 steps or more per minute continuously for 10 minutes or longer).
(6) While you can view the last 7 days of step data on the device itself, it actually holds up to 42 days in memory. All data is viewable once uploaded to your pc.

But under the new "revised" hypertension guidelines, he is now considered hypertensive. I know my friend and if it's not convenient and easy to use, this unit would sit in a draw. This unit has time & date stamp as well a memory for 100 readings. We both love the molded cuff which makes it easy to fit and adjust with the one remaining arm. Most cuffs are difficult to fit without help. It quickly inflate & read. I gave it to him at lunch & we tried it out at the table and was able to take a few readings. Our waitress was impressed and want to get the same model.
