(More customer reviews)First, I'm unsure why other reviewers would give a product a low rating because they lost their Fitbit or whatever. Like any small electronic device or jewelry, you have to find out what works for you so as not to misplace it.
More important is the Fitbit itself. It's more than a glorified pedometer. It's convenient and I can have it with me 24/7. I can establish "activities" for the times I'm burning extra calories, but without much motion. Weight lifting is one example. Data from the Fitbit are wirelessly uploaded to my website account and, in my opinion, it's the website that makes the Fitbit worth the investment. Poke around the [...] website, which is free, and see for yourself what are the benefits to you.
What do I like about the Fitbit. It's a lot of fun to use and from Fitbit community it's clear many people become obsessed with using it; this writer included. I like that I've lost 33 pounds, learned where to adjust my diet to be more balanced and have a history of my waking and sleeping activities, plus more. As for cons, I don't have any. I do have concerns about loosing it and have taken steps (no pun) to keep it securely with me. Also, the rechargeable batter is not user replaceable and it won't last forever. Fitbit still hasn't published a battery replacement policy or cost even though they say they will.
I bought my Fitbit directly from the company and have had it with me for about 8 months now. My wife has had hers for about 6 months. Bottom line: I Love it and Never Am Without It. My wife too.

1) can take multiple users
2) has very good, detailed reporting
3) it does work on vista, regardless of what the other review says. i have been using it for 3 weeks now and downloading to vista almost every day.
I have great confidence that this product accurately measures desaturation events. If you have sleep apnea, I feel this is a very reliable tool to help you calibrate your CPAP.
HOWEVER,
1) It is expensive. You can find a recording oximeter for less if you shop around, but it wont be as small as this one and wont fit on your wrist.
2) the amount of hours advertising says it records is misleading - it depends on the recording frequency setting you select (its not clear that you would ever want to select the setting that gets you to the maximium recording time, but the good news is you can simply download the data and clear the memory every few nights.)
2) the battery does not last nearly as long as advertised. Says 300 hours. Its more like half that. its a special battery, but you can buy it on amazon for much less than other places (less than $10)
I like the product very much, but felt I paid more than I should have for it. I dont like the battery.

If all you want is something to take your pulse, and give you a rate and regularity report, this is fine. Not for any real diagnostic use.

(More customer reviews)After using the Oregon Scientific pedometer with pulse meter (disaster - clip broke in 90 days, unit rendered useless) - I decided to go for a more utilitarian unit. Other than the batteries' demise, this unit has been quite usefull. The clip is stronger than my previous model; and testing with a 1 mile tracks shows the unit is off about 2.5%, which is not bad.
While a little sparse on features, it gives you what you basically need; # of steps; distance; # of calories expended. If you are looking for basic, good value, this could be your winner.

This advice is written right on the thing but I thought (for my own crazy reasons) it was being facetious. It works perfectly when you wipe it with a dry cotton swab every single time you use it. This oximeter detects SpO2 and pulse rate through the patient's skin and indicates the pulse intensity with a bar graph. It is not appropriate for continuous monitoring over 2 hours. The measurement of SpO2 is taken from the arterial pulse, thus sufficient pulsating blood flow is required. For people with weak pulse due to shock, low ambient/body temperature, major bleeding, or use of a vascular contracting drug, the SpO2 waveform (Pleth waveform) will decrease. In this case, the measurement will be more sensitive to interference, so make sure to keep your hand still on your lap or a surface during use of the oximeter.This oximeter is not suitable for use in an MRI or CT environment.

(More customer reviews)For the price, this software is very, very basic. I like having it because I can easily see the trends of my PEF and FEV1. It has an option to overlay green, yellow and red zones over the data which I like. I've had my device for about a month now and plan to print reports to take to my doctor. If I had to write all that information down each time I used my meter, I would be much less likely to use it. The software makes it much easier to be compliant with my doctor's orders of getting (and recording) a reading every morning and evening.
In order for the software to work, you must install the driver for the meter. I accidentally skipped this step during installation so it took me a little while to get it up and running on my computer. Also, the meter has to be turned on in order for the computer to download the data. That is a minor detail, but I sometimes forget to do it....then wonder why the meter isn't synching. ;-)

It is lightweight, easy to read in dark or bright rooms, and works well on pts with poor circulation. The only complaints I have is that it is slower and more sensitive to motion than $400 handheld models. I have also noticed the lettering for SPO2 an HR has already started to wear off. I would recommend this product to RTs, PTs, and RNs who want an affordable pulse ox.

Battery case too difficult to open, no color code for start/stop button, no easy access recall, buttons totally confusing. I have a WrisTech now, superior in all ways, FDA approved. NationalDeals did not give return address on invoice, nor state nonreturnable in ad. I'm stuck with resale of the Advocate. Amazon should warn or drop this dealer.

I was diligent about using the Zona Plus at least 5 times per week as recommended. I also checked my BP at least three times a day and charted it. The Zona literature states that you will see results in 4 to 6 weeks and maximum results after 8 weeks. I am writing this review on March 7, just over 8 weeks after starting. I am sorry to say, that I haven't seen any change in my blood pressure. In fact, if anything it is trending upward during the last week. This is very disappointing as I had high hopes for this device. The manufacturer states that 10% of people won't see any benefit. Since I am already out the $$, I will continue to use this device in the off chance that I might be an outlier and need a longer period to see any benefit. If I see any improvement I will amend my review. Until then, be skeptical.

(More customer reviews)The manufacturer says that it is accurate to ?2% on O2 and ?2 beats on pulse. I run with a rescue squad and checked against our $300 pulse Ox. It is within tollerances. It works fine while walking or mild exercise--like a stationary bike. But it will come off of your finger if you try to use it during vigorous exercise. It works better on the middle finger than the first and if you have long nails it may read inaccurately or marginally.
