(More customer reviews)I tried the white stevia powder, and didn't like the taste, so I knew what I was in for. Thought I'd give it another try though, as a sugar alternative and supplement.
Pros: What I like is that this seems to be natural and unprocessed. Its greenish, appears to be powdered leaf form. I'm assuming there are no other ingredients, as I didn't see any listed on the container. Its got small sprinkle holes in the top of the container for shaking it out, and a bigger open hole for pouring.
It tastes similar to white stevia, but it also has an "herbal" taste. Almost like a green tea. Its a leaf. It tastes like a dried leaf. I've only used it in cold beverages, and it balls up on top of the liquid. It takes a little stirring, and the balls don't completely go away, but its not a big deal to me.
I don't use much. I can taste the sweetness, but it seems like I'd have to use half a teaspoonful to sweeten a cup of beverage. If that's the case, the container won't go far. However, this particular product isn't being marketed as much of a sweetener as it is a supplement.
If you're using this as a supplement (with the added benefit of sweetness) then its pretty good. You can add it to your mouth rinse or whatever you use it for.
If you're using it as a sweetener, be warned that it doesn't dissolve too well, and its got a leafy taste.

The powder is very fine; I turn my head when I shake the pouches into the pitcher to avoid the distasteful inhale (I tear all 4 at a time). No problem with mixing. I just stir a little longer than I did with Splenda.

(More customer reviews)When this product finally went from "out of stock" to being available, I was very excited but I re-read the reviews ... somebody pointed out it has Maltitol in it ... and just look in the list of ingredients, yes it does. Now I'm not buying this junk. Maltitol is an artificial sweetener, a sugar-based alcohol compound. *WHY* on earth would the makers of a stevia-sweetened line of products use other sweeteners, especially the artificial sweeteners that we're all avoiding by switching to Stevia-based products? It makes no sense. This product needs to go into the trash, and somebody else needs to make an only-stevia-sweetened product line; this SteviaDent is not it. Very disappointed with greedy capitalists that cash in on the Stevia craze with a misleading name instead of offering the product that we want.

(More customer reviews)One of the most difficult tasks in the world is to buy the *true* NuNaturals Nustevia White Stevia Pure Extract.
Here the Amazon page shows the version with maltrodextrin, yet the title is wrong as it says its pure stevia. It is not.
If you do an accurate Google search arrive here, you will be buying a product with 92% starch/sugar filler heavely processed from corn.
Amazon may sell the real pure 100% Stevia product on another page but there the situation is reversed: The text is correct but the product is not even stevia.
This purposefully deceptive advertising implies that the filler maltodextrin is much cheaper to produce. It all about the money stupid! I ended-up throwing mine out as it cause the runs.
A few other manufactures also sell 1 lb power versions but they are not very concentrated. So they are a poor value.
On my seond attempt I was able to purchase the real 1 lb, concentrated, pure 100% stevia with no filler. It must be labeled exactly "NuNaturals Nustevia White Stevia Pure Extract". It IS the best tasting stevia, and I've tried many over the years. Good luck!

Therefore, at 15 mg, the effect on your blood glucose and insulin is the same as if this stevia was mixed with 21% pure white sugar.
Not good enough for me. Try Stevita or SweetLeaf brands, they don't contain anything that will spike your blood sugar like this brand.
