I started looking into joint pains when I got tired of hearing all the horror stories from my extended family and their friends regarding knee pains. I finally found out that oral hyaluronic acid can be used to treat osteoarthritis pains and is more effective than the usual glucosamine-chondroitin combo.
I gave these to my mom who was skeptical of their effectiveness. They worked great and her doubt faded away quickly. The clicking sound her joints made when she walked went away. She no longer has stiffness and pain in the knee when waking up in the morning.
She also started recommending it to her friends at work. Most of whom are post-menopausal and have joint pains. Usually it's knee pain. They also are amazed so much of the pain goes away. Any pain left was treated with vitamin c, d3, magnesium citrate, and omega-3 fish oil capsules, which Amazon also sells.

Some misconceptions: Hyaluronic acid might not work on lower back pain or pain from rheumatoid arthritis since those are different conditions and are not related osteoarthritis. Research vitamin deficiency that leads to lower back pain (Methyl B-12, magnesium citrate, D3, comfrey ointment) and immune boosters for rheumatoid arthritis (D3, C, omega-3 fish oils capsules). Make sure you find info. based on the latest studies. Most of the data around the Net is based on out-dated studies with low-doses that are are usually ineffective.

However, most of their rheumatoid hand pain goes away and they stop getting colds. In other words, they have great immune systems. Doctors are still recommending 400 to 4,000 i.u. for Vit. D3. That amount is for children, not adults. It takes doctors a long time to catch up to the latest studies. (More customer reviews)It's funny, after reading the reviews for this, a lot of posters say they feel no difference at all (and the ones who do usually feel negative affects) and only hope that the vitamin is doing its thing. What's sad, is that I took these vitamins years ago and pretty much felt the same way. I was only hoping and assuming it was doing its thing. Since I never really felt a difference and I felt like I had more than I knew what to do with, they mainly ended up in the toilet.
One-A-Day is a prime example of a cheap, mass-marketed multivitamin that truly has very little to offer. If you're someone who is serious about your health, then you're better off spending a little more on a quality multivitamin that will actually do something for you, not something that is just a waste of money.
Cheap vitamins like this usually do not list their vitamin details explicitly on their nutrition label. Instead, one must look at the ingredients to find precisely what forms the vitamins are in. Cheap vitamins (such as this one) usually will use inferior forms of vitamins and minerals because they are inexpensive, the general public doesn't know any better anyway, and unfortunately, these ingredients give minimal results.. if that.
Cheap vitamins use ingredients such as calcium as calcium carbonate, or minerals like magnesium as magnesium oxide.
When looking for a multivitamin, I have three main things I look for:
1. The form of the multivitamin should ideally be in either a liquid or a capsule/softgel. Tablets, while not all of them are bad, tend to be harder for the body to dissolve because they are so compressed and dense. As a result, the tablet may not completely dissolve, thus the vitamins are wasted.
2. The forms the vitamins are in and the amounts:
-Vitamin A as 100% natural cartonoids such as betacarotene and no more than 5000IU.
-Calcium as either caclium citrate or calcium malate or amino acid chelate but NOT calcium carbonate.
-Minerals such as zinc, magnesium, copper and so forth should be in either citrate or amino acid chelated forms, not oxides
-Selenium should be in 200mcg (the amount that the latest research says is needed to get the most health benefits) in the L-Selenomethionine form
-Natural Vitamin E as d-alpha tocopherol, not the synthetic dl-alpha tocopherol which is what most mass-marketed vitamins such as One-A-Day and Centrum use.
3. The other ingredients: avoid vitamins that have artificial colors, useless fillers and binders and objectionable ingredients such as titanium dioxide.
Sad thing is, most mass-marketed vitamins such as this one make it a little harder for the consumer to know what they are getting, because their label usually doesn't list the form of the vitamin or mineral. Instead, one has to look at the ingredients and know what they are looking for in order to determine what the form is.
This vitamin fails in just about every area I can think of for a quality vitamin. It's no wonder that people don't feel any better after taking them. This vitamin is very cheap for a reason. If you are someone who is taking vitamins in hopes that you will improve your health, then spend a little more on a product that is actually beneficial and will help you feel better.

Then again, even though DHA is converted from ALA (flaxseed sourced) in the body, the conversion is hindered by the processing of non-alpha linoleic acid (LA). So the safest bet is to get DHA directly. If you're vegetarian/vegan and prefer to not consume fish juice and bone jelly (gelatin) then this product is perfect for you.
The DHA is sourced from algae, probably the same algae that provide DHA to fish, and is delivered in v-caps, vegan capsules that don't use animal gelatin. Some doctors consider this a purer form and recommend algal DHA to children and pregnant mothers.
Be aware that there is a light fishy smell so if that bothers you, swallow quickly.

I know that those who crave salt or salty foods really are deficient in minerals (provided that you aren't dehydrated and your electrolytes aren't out of balance) and after an episode of wanting to load hoards of salt on my food one day, I buckled down and bought it. After a few days of being on it, I no longer crave salty foods and the funny thing is that even the 'normal' amount of Celtic Sea Salt that I'd add to my foods is TOO salty now. My older son also told me the organic chips we usually eat 'had a lot of salt on it today' (it's packaged so I don't add any to it).I called the company and inquired about giving it to children and was told that it's perfectly safe to, just to give a lower dosage for kids.
It was suggested that I start out my children at 1/2 oz each daily and myself 1 oz daily. Since my kids are young, decided to start them out with 1/4 oz daily and myself 1 oz. (Update: They are now up to 1/2 oz and I am up to 1oz two times per day. I take it / give it to them with E3Live and WE LOVE IT!!!)
I think the most immediate benefit that I've noticed is that it gives you a surge of SUSTAINED energy. The customer service person told me that if you take it following some Tylenol due to a headache, or with some other supplement, you'll feel it work a lot faster with a dose of the Energy Boost. If you are used to drinking coffee or some artificial energy pill or even diet pills, you may not notice the difference in energy since your body gets such a shock compared foods in it's natural state or say coffee or tea that's high in caffeine but for those that don't consume those and similiar things like that, at least for me, since I take it after a shot of e3Live, it get a SURGE of energy and am in a GREAT mood!!! As far as the taste goes, it tastes like a minerally - metallic sort of water water so you can take it straight, with juice, water, etc. It's really mild and when mixed with something else, you can't tell. I just don't know if it can be stable in warm or hot liquids / foods.
I love the fact that it's in liquid form so that I can add it to smoothies, drink it straight etc, it's not ONE more PILL I have to take....
