(More customer reviews)I've owned this for a few years, it freaks people out when they see it, but after they try it, most people won't put it down. i use it to hit the knots with precision and deep tissue strength in my upper back.
it works great if you like really deep tissue massages. but the strength is all up to you since you're the one exerting the effort. but one trick i do is hook the lower loop under my leg and use the weight of my leg to press the opposite end of the massager into my upper back. this gets maximum pressure with the least amount of effort from your arms.
i have an older model, which has gotten a little more flexible in the middle over the years, which i think is not a good thing, but the new model is very rigid plastic (my friend got one) and seems more robust.

Have shared it with many friends, and they are always surprised that this weird looking thing can do so much with such little effort. My only slight complaint is that the nobs are a little hard. I may try to cover them by tying material around them. Strangely, on bare skin they feel good, but over a shirt they feel hard.

The Packaging: Hard to open plastic packaging. But after a few minutes with some scissors it was smooth sailing.
Set up: Surprisingly easy. The massager comes packaged flat, but the prongs are easily to move into position. I did it in a few seconds. Next you attach the blue top piece which has two AA batteries already inside. One battery is purposely inserted the wrong way so that the thing doesn't buzz before you open it. So just switch that around and you're ready to go.
Using it: Fabulous! Feeling a little silly, I put the massager on my head (prongs on my scalp) and pressed the yellow button. It started buzzing and the effect was amazing. Who would have thought the scalp was such a sensitive area of the body? The sensation is extremely pleasurable and relaxing. Try this. You won't be disappointed.

(More customer reviews)I have tendonitis in both hands (been tested for CT, negative so far), and I spend a lot a time on the keyboard-either at work, or on the PC at home. I also play a lot of video games. Before I found these gloves, I would be in constant discomfort doing any of the above. I had those stiff braces that they give everyone with hand problems, but I found them too bulky and stiff for everyday use. I tried these a pair of the Handeze on a whim, and it was almost unreal-my discomfort effectively vanished. I was able to type at work and play games at home for extended periods. Now they're not a panacea-I still use a wristpad on my keyboard & mouse and I exercise my hands for short breaks-but they do work as advertised. Since they leave my fingers and thumbs uncovered, I have no problems holding game controllers and joysticks. A pair of these last me about four to five months on average-I'm on my fifth pair and I've been using this product for two years now. I also have several co-workers that started using them after I introduced them to the gloves. Whaddaya have to lose?

The mini back buddy is actually more handy than the other part in the set for me, as the larger one of the set is the small of the real back buddy tools,the back buddy jr., and is meant for thinner or smaller people. Still pretty good, but if you are a larger man, I'd suggest getting one of the larger models, or the Theracane, whichever is cheaper, as they both do the same thing, allow you to reach trigger points for yourself, instead of waiting for a therapist, or begging your significant other.

(More customer reviews)In December and January, I played Wii tennis, bowling, boxing; did Zumba and yoga planks and push ups. As a result, my shoulder blade has been "killing me." I have been going to the Chiropractic for 3 months and my shoulder blade is still killing me. After using the knobble to resolve soreness in my calves, I decided to purchase this device. It is addictive. You hold the thing and just push on sore spots. It takes trial and error, not a book, to figure out how to do it, but go to Youtube if you want a beginning point. Anyway, I sit on the sofa and just press sore spots. The next day, I put some ice and then heat on them. I have felt the best I have felt in months. Chiropractic care has been a JOKE for me. If I had this thing at the beginning of the pain, the soreness would likely have disappeared in a couple of treatments. In any case, get this thing. Ways I use it:
1. Shoulder blade - place the top of the knobber on the right shoulder area and move the knobber to the left shoulder blade; if you want to work the right shoulder blade, place the top of the knobber on the left shoulder
2. Hips - move the top of the knobber to your hips and hold horizontally and just find the spot of pain
3. Collar bone area - hold the skinny handle stick at the top of knobber to the collar bone area and press the soreness
4. Ribs - hold the knobber horizontally and place the little nobules on the rib area and move across
5. Calves - place your leg in the smaller looped end and just press your calves against the small knob at the end of the knobber
These are just examples. The key is to press the soreness about 10 seconds, press again for about 10 seconds and then give it a rest. You can always come back later to relieve some more sorness. Then, stretch the area.
If you are really sore, like I was, it may take some days but with the application of heat and continual use, you will feel better. It has been 2 days and I am already getting excited about the prospect of Wii-ing again.
Update: I bought the regular sized one and it is MUCH MUCH BETTER. The junior has such a small end that I had to pull harder and was hurting my arm in the process. The regular sized one has two big ends so torquing is easy. Also, the big one has pointed ends that allow you to melt the knots. The junior only has circular ends that press the knots but often they don't just give in to pressure. I recommend the regular sized one over the junior.

For back massage realistically you need a second person to handle it for you. While seemingly heavy, when using it the vibration causes it to 'float' and move easily. (More customer reviews)I am something of a connoisseur of scalp scratchers. I've bought the solid copper ones (happy company, head trip) and the vibrating ones. Those don't really do the trick for me. I light that light, tingly feeling like something is crawling all over my head. The other scratchers I have tried have wires or 'fingers' that are just too thick and/or too rigid. With most, the wires are designed in such a way that I'd have to bend them in just the right way or could come close to hurting myself.
This one has thin, flexible, stainless wires with small plastic nibs at the tips. The wires are not adjustable, but it doesn't matter. I haven't wanted to adjust them. I think this item is simply wonderful; I purchased one at Bed Bath And Beyond and gave it away as a gift (stupid!), then I couldn't find another until I came here to Amazon (yay!).
Note: Unlike the picture, the stem or handle is a textured silver metal, not copper. Doesn't matter to me, though. Feels the same. Awesome.

Within 5 minutes of opening the package (sturdy packaging from DBROTH) I was massaging a tight muscle in my back that I had not been able to reach before. I am 62 and have had over 40 years of back aches. I have tried stretching, yoga, the tennis ball in the tube sock thing, a hugger mugger roller, and every over the counter pain pill ever invented. Last night I took a hot soak in the tub and then 30 minutes of theracane and back buddy. This morning I woke up and my back was not aching. I don't remember the last time that happened. These items came with the booklet from Theracane that showed massage positions. You can download the manual from the Body Back Buddy web site. I also ordered the trigger point workbooks. I will read them some day when I put the canes down.

(More customer reviews)I highly reccommend this product for those who suffer with back and neck problems. I have a slight curve in my back and neck which has now at the age of 48 is taking it's toll. I do see a chiro regularly and so in between visits this comes in handy. I have very stiff shoulders and neck and this really works good at keeping those knots forming. I bought this package 2 for 1 because I must share it with those I love and this is a better price than ordering seperately. The reason I gave 4 stars is that I do find the racket ball with my back to the wall works better on the back, but all the other areas this works great without wearing out your hands trying to knead out knots or from applying self acu pressure. It's great on the feet too if you do reflexology. Great product, you won't be sorry for this purchase.

I actually have definition again. (I'm 55). I've been losing a lot of weight and was very concerned about major sagging skin. (I already was getting that bassett hound appeal.) But worry no more. My cheekbones are once again prominant, my brow has lifted drastically, helping my heavy lids, jaw line excellent and no more more jowels, and my neck is once again toned. Now mind you, all of that should be drooping around my shoulders by now after losing the weight, but no. With this excellent device I have also been using an incredible DPL system. The only draw back with the Face Neoteric system is it is shipped from Canada. I have no problem with Canada, so Canadians back off. What I did have a problem with was the shipping time. It took nearly a month to receive it because it was shipped via CanadianPost. However, the product is so good, I forgave the shipment time because in the end it's the results that matter. While you're at it, order an extra contact gel because if you use the product every day, as you should, you'll need more gel before you know it.
Anyway, product is wonderfully affordable, fun to use, feels great, and it WORKS. Have at it, ladies, and enjoy the results.
