I fell in love with a classmates Riester but was put off by the $100 price tag! This was almost 1/2 so thanks for giving me a great product at a great price! I wish I had been aware of this product before purchasing my first blood pressure cuff set. It is so much easier to manage that I would gladly have spent more money initially!

Reister's ri-san aneroid sphygmomanometer features an easy to use and ergonomic design. The air release valve is operated by a simple finger-tip control. (More customer reviews)The only reason I give this items 4 stars instead of 5, is because I have owned the Ultrascope and it's only slightly better. It has the "magnified" sound due to the style of the head, just like the Ultrascope. I was using a Littman Cardiology just as a loaner after my Ultrascope tubing broke, and it's such a let down from the Ultrascope. I didn't want to pay the high cost to get a new one, so I decided to give this one a try. Guess what...? I love it! It is so close to sound to my Ultrascope, it's unbelievable, and it's so much better than the cardiology (and that stethoscope is very pricey).I LOVE THIS STETHOSCOPE. Can I make it anymore clear? And the cost? My gosh, give me a break...you can't even buy a low-end generic no good for nothing stethoscope for this price and this is a Prestige, which offers good products (I owned Prestige products before). Everyone that sees this item wants to know where I bought and does it really work. I can't brag enough about it. Finally: It makes a great conversation piece with adult patients and family. Also, the pediatric population just love it, making my life a little easier when trying to listen to the little ones. Do yourself a favor and buy this item.

I thought it would be to large and get to much overlap of heart and lung or lung and bowel sounds, but it was wonderful. Great product.

(More customer reviews)I've had mine for about 3-4 years. You can pick up murmurs and crackles very easily with this model. Recently, I tried using my former stethoscope on patients (Sprague Rappaport), and WHOA!! I could barely hear anything!! (I had gotten spoiled by my Cards-III for the last few years without even knowing it!) Years ago, I was wondering how my classmates and residents (all of whom seemed to have the Cards-III) could hear murmurs and stuff, and I couldn't! As a resident now, I'm glad I own one. One day, I forgot my own Cards-III, and had to borrow a colleague's stethoscope (it was a Classic II SE). Even though her Classic II SE was also a Littman, I still couldn't hear as clearly through that, as I did the Cards-III.
On the downside, it is rather pricey. But I equate it to buying a good pair of glasses. In exchange for your money, you'll be able to hear a lot more.

(More customer reviews)Ow Ow Ow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope these things are going to untwist, because they won't stay straight when you try and put them in your ears and OW!!!!!!!!!! They hurt! The Y tubing is made of thick flexible rubber and the eartips are hard plastic. I've got them set up to try and "untwist" them. Update: They are less twisted but the hard plastic material that the eartips are made of are painful to the ear!!

I found that this product is very easy to use - both the stethoscope and cuff are user friendly and of good quality. In fact, this is the same model we were using in school to practice taking measurements. I would recommend this for a beginner and for someone who needs to take readings often. In addition, the stethoscope ear pieces are very comfortable (have had a problem with discomfort in the past). Both the cuff and stethoscope fit in the included case, nicely and is portable. Great item, great price.

I've tried all the other ones, but I have to say that I'm sold on this model.
It's lightweight, easy to handle and store in a pocket. The sound is just what I need too. And it comes in a number of colors so you can sort of stand out. The price is right too.
Definitely a keeper and will continue to buy more of this model as others probably will go 'missing'.

(More customer reviews)I bought 3 of these based on the glowing reviews. Here's what I received. One of the 3 doesn't work at all. Can't hear a thing through it. The other 2 work well. So quality control is terrible. Worse though, the material used for the connector tubing, the part that is colored, it has a terrible odor that has not gone away with time. Not only does it smell bad, but whatever causes the odor comes off on your fingers from handling the material and your fingers smell of the odor long after using the stethoscope. This makes these intolerable to use.
