I ordered it because I was having nasal surgery, and was told icing my nose would help it heal. I was really excited to have found this product , it seemed like the perfect solution!
However, Medex Suuply's shipping and customer service left a lot to be desired. I got a shipment notification, and waited, and waited as my surgery date drew closer. I emailed asking for a tracking number, but they said they couldn't send me one. I thought that was strange. I waited a few more days with no sign of it, and called them. The woman told me she couldn't provide a tracking number. How is that possible?
I placed the order on December 13th and didn't receive it until Janaury, and by then it was too late. I didn't get the product in time for my surgery, which was the whole point of ordering it. I was very dissapointed.
Since it was of no use to me anymore, I gave the Nosebudd to my best friend who is plagued by nosebleeds. She said it worked great for her. Wish I had been able to try it out myself, to help me recover from my surgery.

I thought it would be to large and get to much overlap of heart and lung or lung and bowel sounds, but it was wonderful. Great product.

I've tried all the other ones, but I have to say that I'm sold on this model.
It's lightweight, easy to handle and store in a pocket. The sound is just what I need too. And it comes in a number of colors so you can sort of stand out. The price is right too.
Definitely a keeper and will continue to buy more of this model as others probably will go 'missing'.

(More customer reviews)Although most current medical students, residents, and cardiologists are aware that the Cardiology III stethoscope by Littmann is in vogue, I decided that the price tag attached to one of those stethoscopes was outrageously astronomical and decided to purchase this stethoscope instead. As the name implies, it is lightweight, and the acoustics are impressive. I don't believe that the cardiology III, which I have used, offers anything more that is usable in terms of acoustic data, unless you have very sensitive ears and/or are a cardiology fellow/attending. Remember that medicine is definitely not about who has the fanciest or most expensive tools, but about caring and thinking.
I also recommend this specific color; I ordered it thinking that no one else would have this color. I was crestfallen to find that it is a popular choice among nurses, who also choose this color thinking that it's not popular, and therefore a less likely candidate for theft/long-long term borrowing. However, I have grown attached to the color; it's easy on the eyes, and the computer monitor doesn't reflect the true color. It's a little darker.

(More customer reviews)I am prone to urinary tract infections and these strips are an economical way to test frequently, and they are accurate for that purpose (I haven't used them for any of the other parameters). They are much more economical to use than the Azo strips that cost about $3 each.
I can't understand why people complain that the colors run together if you don't hold the strips horizontally. All you have to do is follow the instructions, folks! Hold the strip horizontally! What's the big deal?
It's important to time the test accurately. I use a kitchen minute timer. A certain level of leukocytes in the urine is normal, and you'll get a false positive if you leave the strip for much longer than that. (The test is for leukocytes, not bacteria - leukocytes are white blood cells, which are the body's response to infection.) It's designed to be accurate at two minutes; be attentive to that instruction.
For people prone to chronic UTIs, I highly recommend Cranstat, a blend of herbs and cranberry extract. I take this at first sign of trouble on test strip, and the test always clears in a day or two. Much better for you than repeated use of antibiotics. However, if you wait too long and the infection becomes acute, Cranstat may not work. That's why I test at least once every three days.

I am a health care professional and have used commercial Accu-Cheks and thought the Compact Plus would be a good unit. The set up was easy and the instructions were well written and easy to follow. The unit works well but with a few quirks. After the first drum was empty, I changed it with a new 17 strip Roche unit and turned it on. The unit would not accept the code and insisted all blood checks were control checks. I ended up throwing away a new drum and having to use another. Another feature I didn't like was the amount of blood needed for a test and having to precisely place the strip in the blood drop. I have vision problems and and wasted a lot of blood and strips trying to get a test to work. I used this unit for several weeks and ended up buying a Bayer Ascensia Contour which works much better and is much easier to use plus the strips are much cheaper. I compared results with both units and they have the same degree of accuracy. If you have good vision and like technological things, this would be a good unit. I like simple things that are easy to use and the Compact Plus did not meet my needs.
